1279 has the distinction of being the first of our vehicles to be housed, (albeit temporarily),
in the new building. On final completion of the new building, 1279 will move into the main
shed where work will resume on her internal refurbishment.

You have to keep an eye on Atlanteans, they generally don't stay on their own for long - they prefer being with other Atlanteans! Don't be surprised to find another one with it within a day or so.......

This business of Leylands reproducing has hit us before. We once agreed to go for one two door National and before we had finished wehad ten through our hands We had to have a cull !

At least the driver won't be in the cab long enough to get a numb bum!

attachment=1175] 1279 has been joined in the shed by 1481.
As for Atlanteans not staying on their own for long: If we put the rest of the RVPT Atlanteans
into the shed, (1686; 1397; Scout 5; Gay Hostess and SCG), there would
still be room for the
two privately owned non-Ribble examples on site for outside storage, and Peter Walton's
ex-Preston Bus example.
The ex-London Country and Lancaster City Atlanteans will have to stay outside !
