Happy to be able to report that 831 passed her MOT test at Martins of Middlewich today.
We left Leyland (where 831 has been garaged) shortly after 1100hrs this morning and joined
the M6 Southbound where we met up with Les Scott and his VRL.

Les had just collected Standerwick 60 from The Bus Works at Blackpool where it had been
receiving attention to the seats and was heading for an MOT test at Martins.

831 is up and running, with it's new pump plates and bolts and overhauled fuel pump, some minor adjustments required and intensive
roadtesting will be needed to make sure all is ok, hopefully will be ready for appearances at running days and rallies in 2011 etc

Sorry to report that 831 received front n/s damage yesterday in
the Leyland outstation when she was hit by a reversing truck.
831 has moved from out station today to runcorn for repairs to be carried out, drove very well, with it's replacement fuel pump and pump plates no hitches, didn't miss a beat, replacement panel courtesy of mr nash, replacement was off an ex ribble/north western national 308/LFR---X,
Repairs to 831s front end have now been completed and she is being prepared
for a full re-paint. Ian has provided the following photographs:

831 is to be re-painted into NBC Poppy Red with a white central band and grey wheels.
It is hoped she will be completed in time for her to attend the Stagecoach Open Day at
Heysham Depot on 28.05.11. and RVPTs running Day at Morecambe the following day.
happy to report 831 is well into it's repaint,
also ironing out some faults arising after it's run,
fixing oil and fuel leaks on fuel pump, removing and discarding the pressure relief valve on fuel pump which was causing endless starting problems, and soting out engine stop cylinder which has failed,,
so roll on the morcombe event were it be attending

MOT time again!
After undergoing replacement of four brake and steering hydraulic pipes and further repair work to
the fuel pump plate, 831 was taken for MOT Test today at Martins of Middlewich.
The journey to the Test Centre was something af a road test, but was completed without problem.

Happy to report that 831 passed the Test.

Despite refuelling for the homeward journey at pump 13, the return jouney was also without problem.
It is hoped that 831 will be in attendance at the fun day at the Transdev Lancashire United garage
at Manner Sutton Street in Blackburn on 29.08.11. with 1775 and the Exhibition National.
This garage was at one time Ribble's George Street, Blackburn, Depot, passing to Blazefield, then Transdev.
