Happy to be able to report that 338 passed her MOT test at Martins of Middlewich on 20.08.10.

The journey from Freckleton to Middlewich was something of a 'road test' as 338 has
been off the road for almost a year and has just had a replacement engine fitted.
No problems were encountered on the trip.
Thank goodness for that ! Thanks Geoff for the news, Chris N
I think the thanks should go Chris Nelson who project managed the team who
carried out the re-build of the replacement Leyland 0.680 engine and its installation.
(Thanks also to all the team members - too numerous to mention all the names).

I fully support Geoff's comment. As someone who could only look on as Chris and his helpers painstakingly worked on the engine I was fascinated by how it was done. I hope we don't have to do this very often but it's good to know that we have these skills available.

I couldn't resist taking this one last Sunday when 1775 was moved out of the shed.
It was moved so that 338 could get out to go to the LTT Open Day at Blackpool.
