    Notes:

These vehicles 1301-1350 delivered in 1950 were the first double deck buses in the fleet to have platform doors. They were also the first to be numbered into the new fleetnumber series with numbers from 1301 reserved for double deckers, single deckers being numbered from 201, coaches from 701, and double deck coaches from 1201,with Standerwick later National Travel West using 1-200, apart from a slight change of using the 1200 series to represent 12 metre coaches this system was retained right up to the Stagecoach renumbering.

1349 was initially allocated to Skerton(Lancaster) Depot , but was involved in a fatal accident when a lorry ran into the back of it killing the conductor who was on the platform. After rebuilding it spent the rest of its life at Clitheroe Depot.

All but one of the batch were withdrawn in 1964 and 1965 (1321 lasted until June 1967) . 1345 became the company Architects bus replacing a 1940 Leyland TD7. All of the batch were sold to the well known Salford dealer Frank Cowley. 1349 was among 5 of the batch sold on to W.T. Edwards and Sons Limited of Lydbrook, Glos. They must have been impressed with them as they also bought 1321 when it was withdrawn. 1349 was bought by a member of the RVPG in January 1974 and by August had been painted in Ribble colours appearing in the Ribble Enthusiast Club Blackpool - Southport rally . As other vehicles were acquired it was eventually laid up and unfortunately the outside storage took its toll, however it is now safely inside at Freckleton albeit full of boxes of parts.
